About this role

AdventHealth Fish Memorial is hiring a PRN Pharmacy Technician II for its hospital pharmacy in Orange City, Florida. ### What you'll do - Accurately prepare and dispense patient-specific medication doses, verifying drug, dose, dosage form, expiration dating, and barcode scanning - Compound sterile medications (IV solutions, piggyback containers) under aseptic conditions following USP <795> & <797> guidelines - Manage automated dispensing cabinets (ADCs), pharmacy software, and medication automation systems across central and decentralized practice areas - Maintain inventory integrity through stock rotation, expired medication removal, and controlled substance compliance - Identify and report potential medication errors, including look-alike/sound-alike risks, supporting a culture of safety - Support compliance documentation, quality improvement initiatives, and mentorship of pharmacy learners ### What we're looking for - Minimum 1 year of hospital, retail, or ambulatory pharmacy experience - Active Florida Pharmacy Technician registration (RPhT) required - High school diploma or equivalent - Proficiency in sterile compounding, controlled substance handling, and regulatory compliance - Ability to operate and troubleshoot ADCs, pharmacy automation, and electronic health record systems - Flexibility to work PRN 8-hour shifts between 6:00 AM and 11:00 PM ### What's included - Pay range: $18.14–$29.02/hour ($37,731–$60,362 annualized) - PRN schedule with day-shift availability ### About the practice AdventHealth Fish Memorial is part of the AdventHealth system, a faith-based not-for-profit health network with a mission centered on whole-person care.
