About this role

AdventHealth Lake Nona is hiring a part-time Assistant Nurse Manager for its Med/Surg Telemetry unit, working night shifts (2×12) in Orlando, Florida. ### What you'll do - Monitor nursing staff performance, deliver feedback, conduct appraisals, and execute improvement plans to sustain clinical and professional standards. - Identify training needs, coordinate educational programs, and mentor staff to support skills development and career progression. - Mediate staff conflicts promptly to maintain team cohesion and a productive work environment. - Lead unit-level quality improvement initiatives by analyzing data and implementing strategies to enhance patient outcomes and operational efficiency. - Communicate with patients, families, and the broader care team to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care. - Manage unit business operations, including financial practices and productivity monitoring. ### What we're looking for - Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Florida — required. - Associate's Degree in Nursing — required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing — preferred. - BLS/CPR certification — required. - 1+ year of charge nurse or relevant nursing leadership experience — preferred. - 1+ year of acute care nursing experience — preferred. - Proficiency with Electronic Health Records and strong written and verbal communication skills. ### What's included - Pay range: $33.99–$63.22/hr (approximately $70,699–$131,498 annualized equivalent). - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance effective from day one. - Paid time off from day one. - 403(b) retirement plan. - Four weeks of 100% paid parental leave. - Continuing education and career development resources. ### About the practice AdventHealth Lake Nona serves the growing Lake Nona community in Orlando with a comprehensive network including emergency services, urgent care, primary and specialty care, imaging, lab, orthopedics, sports medicine, and rehabilitation.
