About this role
AdventHealth Lake Nona is hiring a part-time Assistant Nurse Manager for its Med/Surg Telemetry unit in Orlando, Florida, working day shifts (two 12-hour shifts per week).
### What you'll do
- Monitor nursing staff performance, deliver feedback, conduct appraisals, and implement improvement plans to maintain clinical and professional standards.
- Identify training needs, organize educational programs, and mentor staff to support career development and skill growth.
- Mediate staff conflicts promptly to preserve team cohesion and a positive unit environment.
- Lead quality improvement initiatives by analyzing unit data and implementing strategies to enhance patient outcomes and operational efficiency.
- Communicate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated, safe care delivery.
- Assist with financial and productivity management on the unit, including monitoring staffing and operational practices.
### What we're looking for
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Florida — required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification — required.
- Associate's degree in Nursing — required; Bachelor's degree in Nursing — preferred.
- At least 1 year of acute care nursing experience — preferred.
- At least 1 year of charge nurse or relevant leadership experience — preferred.
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Records and strong written and verbal communication skills.
