About this role

AdventHealth Lake Nona is hiring a full-time Assistant Nurse Manager for its Med-Surg/Telemetry unit, working day shift at its Orlando, Florida campus. ### What you'll do - Supervise and evaluate nursing staff performance, deliver feedback, and implement improvement plans to maintain clinical and professional standards. - Identify training needs, coordinate educational programs, and mentor staff to support skill development and career advancement. - Lead unit-level quality improvement initiatives by analyzing data and executing strategies that enhance patient care and operational efficiency. - Resolve staff conflicts promptly using mediation techniques to preserve a cohesive, positive work environment. - Communicate with patients, families, and the broader care team to ensure coordinated, whole-person care delivery. - Manage unit business operations including productivity tracking and financial practice oversight. ### What we're looking for - Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Florida — required. - Associate's Degree in Nursing (ASN) required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred. - BLS/CPR certification — required. - 1+ year of charge nurse or relevant leadership experience preferred. - 1+ year of acute care nursing experience preferred. - Proficiency with Electronic Health Records and strong written and verbal communication skills. ### What's included - Pay range: $33.99–$63.22/hr ($70,699–$131,498 annualized). - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance effective Day One. - Paid time off beginning Day One. - 403(b) retirement plan. - Four weeks of fully paid parental leave. - Mental health resources, whole-person well-being programs, and pet benefits. ### About the practice AdventHealth Lake Nona is part of AdventHealth's established comprehensive care network in the Orlando metro area, offering emergency services, urgent care, medical specialties, imaging, orthopedics, and rehabilitation.
