A Registered Dietitian II role at AdventHealth Winter Park delivers clinical nutrition care across inpatient units at the hospital's Winter Park, Florida campus.
### What you'll do
- Conduct nutrition-focused physical assessments, including anthropometric measurements, medical record review, and patient interviews to identify malnutrition and nutrition risk
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized nutrition care plans in collaboration with physicians, nurses, and allied health team members during interdisciplinary rounds
- Provide evidence-based medical nutrition therapy counseling and education tailored to health literacy level and cultural background
- Place feeding tubes and perform indirect calorimetry studies as authorized; manage enteral and parenteral nutrition support recommendations
- Enter nutrition orders and complete timely, accurate documentation in the electronic health record per Medical Staff policy
- Supervise dietetic interns, dietetic technicians, and new employees; participate in quality improvement, research, and regulatory survey preparation
### What we're looking for
- Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential — required
- Bachelor's degree in nutrition or a related field — required; Master's degree preferred
- Minimum 3 years of clinical dietetics experience
- Comprehensive knowledge of medical nutrition therapy and nutrition support (enteral and parenteral)
- Proficiency with electronic health record systems and standard office software
- Strong interdisciplinary communication skills and ability to serve as the unit nutrition expert
