About this role
AdventHealth Daytona Beach is hiring a full-time Registered Nurse for the Clinical Progressive Unit (CPU) on the mid-shift at its Daytona Beach, Florida campus.
### What you'll do
- Conduct comprehensive physiological, psychological, and sociocultural patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders, monitoring for adverse reactions and adjusting interventions as outcomes require.
- Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and self-care strategies.
- Collaborate with physicians, ancillary departments, and the broader care team to coordinate and optimize patient care.
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation of assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic medical record.
- Respond to code situations promptly, providing stabilizing interventions and supervising delegated care within the unit.
### What we're looking for
- Active Florida RN license and current BLS/CPR certification (required).
- Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
- Minimum one year of experience in an acute care hospital setting preferred.
- EKG interpretation skills applicable to unit-specific patient population.
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and critical-thinking abilities with effective written and verbal communication.
- Preferred certifications include TNCC, CCRN-E, CCNS, or SCRN depending on unit assignment.
