RN Critical Care Float

AdventHealth New Smyrna Beach is hiring a full-time RN Critical Care Float for its inpatient float pool in New Smyrna Beach, Florida. ### What you'll do - Float across critical care units, delivering patient-centered nursing care aligned with individualized care plans - Collect and assess comprehensive patient data to guide clinical decision-making and unit-level process improvement - Coordinate plan-of-care implementation through appropriate leadership, delegation, and physician order execution - Perform hourly rounding, ensure safe handoff communications, and maintain accurate clinical documentation - Educate patients and families based on assessed learning needs and discharge planning requirements - Participate in peer interviewing, peer review, and quality improvement initiatives ### What we're looking for - Active Florida Registered Nurse (RN) license - Associate's Degree in Nursing (required); Bachelor's Degree preferred - BLS and ACLS certification (both required) - Minimum 1 year of recent, relevant nursing experience; 2+ years of critical care experience preferred - Proficient critical thinking, clinical judgment, and communication skills across varied patient populations - Familiarity with electronic medical record systems and EKG interpretation (preferred) ### What's included - Hourly pay range: $32.76–$57.47 (annualized approximately $68,141–$119,538) - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance effective Day One - Paid time off from Day One - 403(b) retirement plan - Four weeks of 100% paid parental leave - Mental health resources, whole-person well-being programs, and pet benefits ### About the practice AdventHealth New Smyrna Beach is part of the AdventHealth system, a faith-based, not-for-profit health network operating across multiple states.
