About this role
A Certified Medical Assistant Coordinator joins AdventHealth's Centra Care urgent care clinic in Orlando, Florida, working a night-weekend shift (Tuesday–Saturday, 3:30 PM–12:00 AM).
### What you'll do
- Assist providers in delivering direct medical care to urgent care patients
- Manage billing, charge entry, and prior authorizations for procedures and treatments
- Oversee patient check-in and check-out, insurance eligibility verification, and related documentation
- Schedule patient appointments and maintain the clinic calendar
- Serve as an EMR super user, providing system support and staff training
- Process medical records and handle patient inquiries by phone with professional customer service
### What we're looking for
- Active certification as CMA, CMAC, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, or NRCMA (one required)
- BLS/CPR certification (required)
- 5+ years of medical practice experience
- High school diploma or equivalent; graduate of an MA program preferred
- Demonstrated ability to manage administrative and clinical workflows simultaneously
