About this role
AdventHealth East Orlando is hiring a full-time RN for its Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Medical Days team at its facility in Orlando, Florida.
### What you'll do
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments covering physiological, psychological, sociocultural, and spiritual dimensions.
- Develop, implement, and continuously revise individualized care plans based on patient needs and established standards of care.
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders, monitoring for adverse reactions and documenting outcomes accurately.
- Educate patients and families on health conditions, medications, and self-care strategies to support compliance and recovery.
- Collaborate with physicians, ancillary departments, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate and optimize patient care.
- Respond promptly to code situations, providing stabilizing interventions and supervising delegated care within the unit.
### What we're looking for
- Active Florida Registered Nurse (RN) license — required.
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Current BLS/CPR certification — required.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in an acute care hospital setting — preferred.
- EKG interpretation capability appropriate to PCU patient population.
- Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and critical-thinking skills with proficiency in Windows-based electronic health record systems.

The PCU Medical unit provides step-down level care to patients requiring closer monitoring than a general medical-surgical floor, supported by a collaborative interdisciplinary team.
