About this role

AdventHealth Porter is hiring a full-time Assistant Nurse Manager for the Med-Surg unit on nights at its Denver, Colorado campus. ### What you'll do - Perform and oversee venous access procedures and infusion therapy, adjusting care plans based on patient response. - Monitor nursing staff performance, conduct appraisals, and implement improvement plans to uphold clinical standards. - Lead quality improvement initiatives by analyzing unit data and implementing strategies to enhance patient outcomes and operational efficiency. - Mentor and precept new staff through hands-on training, feedback, and professional development planning. - Resolve staff conflicts using mediation techniques to maintain team cohesion and a positive work environment. - Ensure unit compliance with regulatory, accrediting body, and hospital policies to maintain patient safety standards. ### What we're looking for - Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — required. - Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification — required. - Associate's degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's degree preferred. - 1+ year of acute care nursing experience preferred. - 1+ year of charge nurse or relevant leadership experience preferred. - Strong critical thinking, EHR proficiency, and demonstrated ability to lead performance improvement initiatives. ### What's included - Hourly pay range: $38.54–$71.69 (approximately $80,163–$149,115 annualized). - Medical, dental, and vision insurance effective Day One. - Paid time off from Day One; four weeks of 100% paid parental leave. - 403(b) retirement plan. - Career development resources and whole-person well-being support. ### About the practice AdventHealth Porter is part of AdventHealth, a faith-based, not-for-profit health system with a mission centered on whole-person care — body, mind, and spirit.
