AdventHealth Orlando is hiring a PRN Emergency Department Float Pool Registered Nurse at its flagship Orlando, Florida campus.
### What you'll do
- Perform and document initial and ongoing patient assessments to evaluate condition and guide care planning.
- Administer medications accurately, monitor patient responses, and adjust interventions as warranted.
- Develop individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team and educate patients and families on their care, medications, and procedures.
- Assist physicians with bedside procedures; prepare patients for tests, procedures, and surgeries.
- Respond to emergencies by delivering required interventions and coordinating with the healthcare team to stabilize patients.
- Float to appropriate departments within scope, skills, and credentials as part of the regional float pool.
### What we're looking for
- Active Florida RN license (required).
- Associate's degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (all required).
- EKG interpretation competency per unit requirements.
- Proficiency with emergency equipment: IV insertion, central lines, pulse oximetry, NG tubes, Foley catheters, chest tubes, and hemodynamic monitoring.
- 1+ years of acute care hospital experience preferred.
### What's included
- Hourly pay range: $32.76–$57.47 (annualized approximately $68,141–$119,538 at 2,080 hours).
- PRN scheduling flexibility on day shift.
