About this role
AdventHealth Orlando is hiring a full-time night-shift Registered Nurse for its Emergency Department Regional Float Pool at its Orlando, Florida campus.
### What you'll do
- Perform and document initial and ongoing patient assessments; develop individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
- Administer medications accurately as ordered, monitor patient responses, and adjust interventions as needed.
- Interpret EKGs, monitor lab trends, and report abnormal results to the care team for timely action.
- Assist physicians with bedside procedures and prepare patients for tests, procedures, and surgeries.
- Supervise and guide nursing personnel in delivering safe, evidence-based patient care.
- Float to appropriate departments within scope, skills, and credentials as part of the regional float pool.
### What we're looking for
- Active Florida RN license required.
- Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.
- 1+ years of acute care hospital experience preferred.
- Proficiency with emergency equipment including IV insertion, central lines, pulse oximetry, NG tubes, Foley catheters, chest tubes, and hemodynamic monitoring.
- Strong critical thinking, EKG interpretation skills, and ability to prioritize in high-acuity situations.
