About this role
A full-time RN opportunity on the Behavioral Geriatric Unit at UChicago Medicine AdventHealth Bolingbrook in Bolingbrook, Illinois.
### What you'll do
- Respond to and participate in unit and hospital code situations, managing patients according to established protocols.
- Supervise and guide licensed and non-licensed nursing personnel in delivering safe, therapeutic, quality care.
- Develop, prioritize, and document individualized care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and significant others.
- Administer medications and treatments accurately, including IV infusions and oxygen supplementation.
- Assist physicians with bedside procedures and perform therapeutic measures as prescribed.
### What we're looking for
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois.
- Current BLS/CPR certification (required).
- Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's of Nursing preferred.
- 1+ years of behavioral health nursing experience preferred.
- Experience with geriatric or dementia populations preferred.
- Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Program certification preferred.

### About the practice
UChicago Medicine AdventHealth Bolingbrook is a faith-based community hospital serving the southwestern Chicago suburbs, operating under a shared mission between UChicago Medicine and AdventHealth. The Behavioral Geriatric Unit provides specialized inpatient care for older adults with psychiatric and cognitive conditions, with day-shift schedules running 6:30 a.m.–7 p.m. on a 36-hour weekly basis including every other weekend and rotating holidays.
