About this role

A full-time Scheduler supports outpatient patient access operations at AdventHealth Port Orange Health Park in Port Orange, Florida. ### What you'll do - Manage scheduling requests for outpatient tests and patient exams in a timely, accurate manner - Complete pre-registration of clinical and financial data over the phone, ensuring records are current and conflict-free - Handle all incoming lines, specialty calls, and provider communications via phone, email, and fax - Liaise with insurance providers, case managers, the central business office, and third-party Medicaid eligibility vendors - Obtain pre-certifications, benefits verifications, and authorizations in compliance with insurance carrier requirements - Identify and resolve scheduling, account, or payment issues before patient visits ### What we're looking for - High school diploma or equivalent (required) - Minimum 1 year of healthcare experience (required) - Prior patient scheduling or patient access experience (preferred) - Knowledge of ICD-9/CPT coding, medical terminology, and health insurance concepts including co-pays, coinsurance, and deductibles - Proficiency in Windows-based computer software; typing speed of at least 35 WPM - CPR certification (preferred) ### What's included - Pay range: $16.63–$26.60/hr (~$34,590–$55,328 annualized) - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance from day one - Paid time off from day one - 403(b) retirement plan - Four weeks of 100% paid parental leave - Career development resources and whole-person well-being support ### About the practice AdventHealth Port Orange Health Park is part of AdventHealth, a faith-based, not-for-profit health system operating across multiple states with a mission centered on whole-person care.
