About this role

AdventHealth Port Charlotte is hiring a full-time Sterile Processing Supervisor to lead central sterile operations at its Port Charlotte, Florida hospital. ### What you'll do - Oversee sterilization practices, ensure all standards are met, and take corrective action when deficiencies are identified - Monitor sterilization equipment, maintain accurate load records, and designate equipment "out of service" as needed - Utilize instrument tracking systems to generate reports and provide quality feedback - Serve as a liaison between hospital departments to coordinate instrumentation availability and meet customer needs - Ensure staff adherence to PPE requirements in decontamination areas and enforce safe work practices - Meet regularly with leadership to review departmental needs and quality monitoring outcomes ### What we're looking for - High school diploma or equivalent required - Minimum 1 year of sterile processing experience required - Active CRCST or CSPDT certification required - Preferred certifications: CSIS, CIS, CFER, CHL, or CSPM - Working knowledge of sterilization standards, surgical instrumentation, and infection control procedures - Previous leadership or management experience preferred ### What's included - Pay range: $21.56–$40.09/hr ($44,845–$83,387 annualized) - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance effective Day One - Paid time off from Day One - 403(b) retirement plan - Four weeks of 100% paid parental leave - Whole-person well-being and mental health resources ### About the practice AdventHealth Port Charlotte is a faith-based community hospital located at 2500 Harbor Blvd in Port Charlotte, Florida, operated by AdventHealth, a large not-for-profit health system.
