About this role
A full-time, day-shift Registered Nurse role in the GI Lab at AdventHealth Shawnee Mission in Shawnee Mission, Kansas.
### What you'll do
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments covering physiological, psychological, developmental, and sociocultural factors to guide individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders, monitoring for adverse reactions and maintaining safe protocols.
- Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatments, and self-care strategies to support understanding and adherence.
- Collaborate with physicians and ancillary departments to coordinate care and ensure clear communication across the team.
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation of assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record.
- Respond promptly to code situations, providing stabilization interventions and supervising delegated care activities.
### What we're looking for
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in Kansas (required).
- Associate's degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- BLS/CPR certification required.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in an acute care hospital setting preferred.
- Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and critical-thinking skills for a fast-paced procedural environment.
- Proficiency in EKG interpretation and ability to navigate Windows-based computer systems including the EHR.
