About this role
A Consumer Experience Specialist I handles inbound consumer inquiries and scheduling support for AdventHealth's Consumer Experience Center, based in Shawnee Mission, Kansas (KC Metro area required).
### What you'll do
- Resolve consumer inquiries accurately and promptly using established workflows, scripting, and department protocols
- Schedule appointments across supported departments, maximizing resource utilization and avoiding conflicts
- Initiate insurance eligibility verification at time of scheduling to support timely authorization and reimbursement
- Document all consumer interactions thoroughly and update records consistently in CRM, EHR, and telephony systems
- Research and resolve issues, achieving individual key performance objectives including quality assurance and productivity targets
- Maintain current knowledge of all educational materials required to perform department services
### What we're looking for
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred
- 1+ year of experience in a call center or customer service environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; ability to master multiple platforms including CRM, telephony, and electronic health records
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to listen and document notes simultaneously
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment
- Bilingual in Spanish and/or medical terminology knowledge preferred; Certified Medical Interpreter (CMI) a plus
