About this role
A full-time night-shift RN role on the Multisystem Progressive Care Unit (1MSU) at AdventHealth South Orlando, a blended Med-Tele and PCU unit serving patients with complex medical and psychiatric needs in Orlando, Florida.
### What you'll do
- Conduct comprehensive assessments covering physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, and lifestyle factors for a caseload of 4–5 patients per shift.
- Develop, implement, and revise individualized care plans based on patient needs and evidence-based standards.
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and hospital protocols; monitor for adverse reactions.
- Educate patients and families on health conditions, medications, and self-care to support compliance and recovery.
- Collaborate with hospitalist and psychiatric teams in a multidisciplinary model to coordinate and optimize care.
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation of assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic medical record.
### What we're looking for
- Active Florida Registered Nurse (RN) license — required.
- Associate's Degree in Nursing — required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing — preferred.
- Current BLS/CPR certification — required.
- At least 1 year of experience in an acute care hospital setting — preferred.
- EKG competency per unit requirements.
- Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and critical-thinking skills for a fast-paced med-psych environment.
