About this role
AdventHealth Celebration is hiring a contract Emergency Department RN for a mid-shift (1pm–1am) schedule at 36 hours per week in Celebration, Florida.
### What you'll do
- Conduct thorough, ongoing patient assessments and develop individualized, evidence-based plans of care aligned with interdisciplinary goals.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and adherence to protocols.
- Collaborate with physicians, staff, and families to facilitate timely patient admission, discharge, and transfer.
- Educate patients and families on health conditions, procedures, and care plans based on assessed learning needs.
- Ensure safe handoff communication, accurate documentation, and compliance with CDC isolation and PPE guidelines.
- Advocate for patient rights and participate in quality, safety, and practice-improvement initiatives.
### What we're looking for
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Florida.
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience in an acute hospital setting.
- Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification required.
- Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) certification preferred.
- Proficiency in English (read, verbal, and written) and basic computer skills.
### What's included
- Contract rate of $60/hr plus shift differential for mid-shift hours.
- 36 hours per week on a consistent 1pm–1am schedule.
