About this role

An Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) role on the night shift at AdventHealth Kissimmee, a faith-based health system located in Kissimmee, Florida. ### What you'll do - Perform 12-lead EKGs, initiate cardiac monitoring, detect dysrhythmias, and report abnormalities to the assigned nurse - Insert peripheral IVs, perform venipuncture, hang IV fluids without medication, and maintain prescribed flow rates - Assist physicians and RNs with procedures including sutures, pelvic exams, lumbar punctures, and orthopedic splinting and casting - Transport unmonitored patients to inpatient departments and accompany stable monitored patients to PCU/med-tele or specialty units - Initiate oxygen therapy as directed by a registered nurse or physician - Conduct hourly patient rounding to ensure comfort, communication, and call-bell access ### What we're looking for - Active EMT or Advanced-EMT (EMT-A) certification (required) - Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification (required) - Technical or vocational school education (required) - Customer service experience (preferred) - Ability to apply age-specific competencies across all patient populations - Demonstrated adherence to CDC isolation guidelines and appropriate PPE use ### What's included - Pay range: $16.14–$24.83/hr ($33,571–$53,726 annualized) - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance from day one - Paid time off from day one - 403(b) retirement plan - Four weeks of 100% paid parental leave - Career development and whole-person well-being resources ### About the practice AdventHealth Kissimmee is a full-service hospital within the AdventHealth system, a large faith-based nonprofit network operating across multiple states.
