About this role

AdventHealth Shawnee Mission is hiring a full-time Emergency Department RN for day shift at its hospital in Shawnee Mission, Kansas. ### What you'll do - Conduct comprehensive assessments evaluating physiological, psychological, developmental, and sociocultural factors for ED patients - Develop, implement, and revise individualized care plans aligned with patient needs and standards of care - Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and hospital protocols, monitoring for adverse reactions - Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate patient care and ensure effective communication - Respond promptly to code situations, providing interventions to stabilize patients - Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatments, and self-care strategies ### What we're looking for - Current Registered Nurse (RN) license — required - Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) — required; BSN preferred - BLS/CPR certification — required - 1+ year of experience in an acute care hospital setting — preferred - EKG interpretation competency per unit requirements - TNCC, PEARS, or CCNS certification — preferred ### What's included - Pay range: $32.50–$60.45/hr ($67,600–$125,736 annualized) - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance effective day one - Paid time off starting day one - 403(b) retirement plan - 4 weeks of 100% paid parental leave - CME and career development resources; mental health and well-being support ### About the practice AdventHealth Shawnee Mission is a full-service acute care hospital located in Johnson County, Kansas, part of the AdventHealth system — one of the largest faith-based health systems in the United States.
