Consumer Access Specialist

A Consumer Access Specialist role at AdventHealth Castle Rock in Castle Rock, Colorado, supporting patient registration, insurance verification, and revenue cycle functions on the night shift. ### What you'll do - Register patients for all services, ensuring accuracy and minimizing duplication of medical records - Verify insurance eligibility and benefits, obtain pre-authorizations, and perform Medicare compliance reviews including issuance of Advance Beneficiary Notices - Create accurate estimates of patient financial responsibility and collect payments or establish payment plans - Coordinate with utilization management staff on pre-authorization issues and communicate with clinical and ancillary departments to support the patient experience - Perform cashiering functions including cash collections and reconciliation - Provide PBX switchboard coverage, answering and transferring calls as needed ### What we're looking for - High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred - 1+ year of experience in customer service, healthcare, or revenue cycle (preferred) - Basic to intermediate medical terminology and working knowledge of insurance benefits - Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with electronic health record (EMR) systems - Knowledge of CMS, EMTALA, and HIPAA regulations with ability to handle confidential patient information - Bilingual English/Spanish preferred; CHAA or CRCR certification a plus ### What's included - Pay range: $19.77–$31.64/hour (~$41,122–$65,811 annualized) - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance from day one - Paid time off from day one - 403(b) retirement plan - 4 weeks of fully paid parental leave - Whole-person well-being and mental health resources ### About the practice AdventHealth Castle Rock is part of AdventHealth, a faith-based, not-for-profit health system serving communities across the United States with a mission rooted in whole-person care.
