Cardiac Catheterization Technician

A Cardiac Catheterization Technician role at AdventHealth Port Charlotte performs diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures in a full-service cardiac and electrophysiology laboratory in Port Charlotte, Florida. ### What you'll do - Perform diagnostic and interventional coronary, peripheral, electrophysiology, structural heart, neuro-radiologic, and pediatric catheterization procedures - Rotate through all procedural roles — circulate, monitor, and scrub — in the cardiac and EP labs - Administer medications and treatments per policy; monitor hemodynamics, ECG, blood pressure, and pulse oximetry throughout cases - Respond to call as assigned and manage clinical emergencies within scope - Maintain accurate, timely medical records and uphold documentation security protocols - Participate in quality improvement initiatives and assist with orientation and training of new staff ### What we're looking for - Associate of Science in a healthcare-related field (required); Bachelor of Science preferred - One or more years of relevant healthcare experience; 2+ years in cardiac cath, EP, neuro, critical care, or interventional radiology preferred - Active BLS and ACLS certification (required); PALS preferred - One of the following credentials (required): RN, RT(R)(ARRT), RRT, RCIS, RCES, RT(CV)(ARRT), Licensed Paramedic, or CST - Working knowledge of ECG interpretation, cardiovascular and vascular anatomy, and hemodynamic monitoring - Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary care teams ### What's included - Pay range: $31.55–$58.69/hr ($65,624–$122,075 annualized) - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance effective day one - Paid time off from day one - 403(b) retirement plan - Four weeks of 100% paid parental leave - CME and career development resources; mental health and well-being support programs ### About the practice AdventHealth Port Charlotte is a faith-based, not-for-profit health system serving the Port Charlotte community from its campus at 2500 Harbor Blvd. The cardiac catheterization program supports a full spectrum of invasive cardiovascular services, including coronary intervention, electrophysiology, structural heart, peripheral vascular, and pediatric procedures.
