About this role
AdventHealth is hiring a full-time Registered Nurse specializing in Dialysis to cover three hospital locations — Winter Garden, Minneola, and Apopka — in central Florida.
### What you'll do
- Set up and operate dialysis equipment: rinse, prime, position, attach tubing, prepare dialysate, calibrate alarms, and run system checks.
- Perform patient assessments before each treatment and execute care based on assessments and physician orders.
- Monitor and manage blood pressure, weight changes, access patency, lab values, dialysate composition, and fluid flows throughout treatment.
- Obtain blood samples and specimens; administer medications, blood, and blood products per physician orders and policy.
- Complete nursing documentation after every dialysis session and communicate findings to the physician and primary nurse as needed.
- Provide patient and family education on dialysis treatment and dietary recommendations; clean and dress access sites using aseptic technique.
### What we're looking for
- Active Florida RN license and current BLS certification (required).
- Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience with dialysis nursing experience (both required).
- Acute/inpatient dialysis experience preferred; Med/Surg, ICU, CCU, or ED background a plus.
- ACLS and Certified Dialysis Nurse (CDN) credential preferred.
- Ability to work three 12-hour shifts per week including weekends and on-call rotations.
