PCT Nights 5North | Full-time

A Patient Care Technician (Nights, 5North) role on the inpatient medical unit at AdventHealth Waterman in Tavares, Florida. ### What you'll do - Prepare rooms for new admissions, orient patients, and maintain an accurate unit census - Assist patients with activities of daily living, respond to call lights, and maintain a safe, clean environment - Transfer patients between beds, stretchers, and wheelchairs using proper lifting and transport techniques - Collect and label bedside specimens and route them to the lab for analysis - Document vital signs, intake/output, and personal care in the electronic medical record per policy - Serve as a liaison between patients, families, nursing staff, and medical personnel, reporting changes in patient status promptly ### What we're looking for - High school diploma or equivalent (required) - Active BLS/CPR certification (required) - One of the following: CPCT/A, CNA, or EMT certification (required) - Basic computer skills and familiarity with medical terminology - Strong communication, organizational, and critical-thinking skills - Prior CNA or patient care experience preferred (1+ year) ### What's included - Pay range: $16.14–$25.83/hr ($33,571–$53,726 annualized) - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance from Day One - Paid time off from Day One and 4 weeks of 100% paid parental leave - 403(b) retirement plan - Career development and whole-person well-being resources ### About the practice AdventHealth Waterman is a faith-based acute care hospital located in Tavares, Florida, part of the AdventHealth system.
