About this role
AdventHealth Lenexa City Center is hiring a full-time Manager of Respiratory Care to lead the Respiratory Therapy department at its hospital campus in Lenexa, Kansas.
### What you'll do
- Plan and organize all departmental activities, including equipment evaluation, staffing levels, and continuing education programs.
- Supervise respiratory therapy staff through hiring, training, performance evaluation, and daily workflow management.
- Administer therapeutic gases, bronchodilators, and positive-pressure breathing treatments (IPPB, CPAP, BiPAP); monitor continuous ventilatory support.
- Participate in cardiopulmonary resuscitation and perform airway care, including tracheobronchial aspiration and chest physiotherapy.
- Conduct pulse oximetry and pulmonary function testing; document procedures, medications, and billing in the EMR.
- Assist in the department's quality assurance program and ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
### What we're looking for
- Associate's degree in Respiratory Care or Healthcare Administration (required).
- 5+ years of respiratory care experience and 2+ years in a leadership role (both required).
- State Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license (required); active NBRC credential (preferred).
- BLS certification (required); ACLS, PALS, and NRP (preferred).
- Strong organizational, analytical, and written/verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to operate effectively in a matrix-management environment.
