Consumer Access Specialist Part Time Nights

A Consumer Access Specialist (Part-Time Nights) role at AdventHealth New Smyrna Beach in New Smyrna Beach, Florida, supporting patient registration and financial clearance for a hospital-based access team. ### What you'll do - Register patients for all hospital services, ensuring accuracy and preventing duplicate medical records - Verify insurance eligibility and benefits, and obtain pre-authorizations within required timeframes - Create patient financial responsibility estimates and collect payments or establish payment plans at point of service - Perform Medicare compliance reviews and issue Advance Beneficiary Notices of Noncoverage as required - Coordinate with utilization management staff on pre-authorization issues and provide patients with logistical information ### What we're looking for - High school diploma or equivalent (required); Associate degree (preferred) - Ability to communicate professionally and effectively, both verbally and in writing - Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and familiarity with database programs - Mature judgment when interacting with patients, physicians, and insurance representatives - Ability to manage multiple tasks and organize work efficiently in a fast-paced environment ### What's included - Pay range: $16.63–$26.60/hour (~$34,590–$55,328 annualized) - Medical, dental, and vision insurance effective Day One - Paid time off from Day One - 403(b) retirement plan - 4 weeks of 100% paid parental leave - Mental health resources and whole-person well-being support ### About the practice AdventHealth New Smyrna Beach is a community hospital located in New Smyrna Beach, Florida, part of the AdventHealth system — one of the largest faith-based health networks in the United States.
