LPN - ED - Nights - Shawnee Mission

AdventHealth Shawnee Mission is hiring a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for the Emergency Department on the night shift in Shawnee Mission, Kansas. ### What you'll do - Administer ordered medications and treatments safely within LPN scope of practice - Collect and document comprehensive patient data on admission and throughout each shift, including physical, psychosocial, and developmental assessments - Monitor patient status continuously and report significant findings to the RN and broader care team - Implement and transcribe physician orders, communicate the plan of care during shift handoffs - Delegate tasks appropriately to unlicensed personnel after confirming demonstrated competence - Participate in unit quality improvement activities and assist with Core Measures documentation ### What we're looking for - Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in Kansas - BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required - Technical/vocational school graduate from an allied health program or equivalent - Basic knowledge of cardiac rhythms, phlebotomy, splinting, and urinary catheter insertion - Ability to maintain 95% medication administration and scanning compliance - 1+ year of nursing experience preferred ### What's included - Hourly pay range: $20.95–$38.96 (approximately $43,576–$81,037 annually) - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance from day one - Paid time off from day one - 403(b) retirement plan - 4 weeks of 100% paid parental leave - Mental health resources, well-being programs, and pet benefits ### About the practice AdventHealth Shawnee Mission is a faith-based, full-service hospital located in Shawnee Mission, Kansas, part of the AdventHealth national health system.
