About this role

A Consumer Access Specialist (Part-Time, Nights) at AdventHealth Gordon supports patient registration, insurance verification, and financial services at a hospital campus in Calhoun, Georgia. ### What you'll do - Verify insurance eligibility and benefits, obtain pre-authorizations, and coordinate with utilization management for timely patient access. - Register patients accurately, collect demographic and insurance information, and prevent duplicate medical records. - Conduct Medicare compliance reviews, issue Advance Beneficiary Notices of Noncoverage, and document payer decisions accurately. - Create patient financial responsibility estimates, collect payments, establish payment plans, and perform cash reconciliation. - Coordinate communication across departments and support patient experience initiatives, including PBX coverage as needed. ### What we're looking for - High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred. - 1+ year of customer service, relevant healthcare, or revenue cycle experience preferred. - Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and electronic health record systems. - Familiarity with CMS, EMTALA, and HIPAA compliance requirements. - Basic medical terminology and ability to interpret insurance benefit information. - CHAA or CRCR certification preferred. ### What's included - Pay range: $15.89–$25.43/hour (~$33,051–$52,894 annualized). - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance effective Day One. - Paid time off from Day One and 4 weeks of 100% paid parental leave. - 403(b) retirement plan. - Career development resources and whole-person well-being support. ### About the practice AdventHealth Gordon is part of the AdventHealth system, a faith-based, not-for-profit health network committed to whole-person care.
