About this role

A Non-Certified Ventricular Assist Device (VAD) Coordinator role at AdventHealth South Orlando, supporting advanced heart failure patients across inpatient and outpatient settings in Orlando, Florida. ### What you'll do - Identify VAD candidates, review medical records, and compile diagnostic tests to facilitate evaluations for potential recipients. - Document comprehensive clinical assessments including diagnostic testing results and functional status. - Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, patient review committees, and discharge planning sessions. - Monitor post-VAD implant and heart function according to established clinical protocols. - Coordinate clinical support for VAD patients in collaboration with hospital nursing staff, VAD RNs, and the perfusion team. ### What we're looking for - Active Registered Nurse (RN) license with current BLS and ACLS certifications. - Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master of Science in Nursing preferred. - Minimum 1 year of advanced heart failure or post-operative cardiovascular experience. - Minimum 2 years of acute care experience within the last three years. - Sound clinical judgment, strong written and verbal communication skills, and proven ability to function within an interdisciplinary team. - Preferred certifications: CCTC, CHFN, SOCRA, or ACRP; bilingual English/Spanish preferred. ### What's included - Salary range: $72,190–$134,260 per year. - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance effective from day one. - Paid time off from day one and four weeks of 100% paid parental leave. - 403(b) retirement plan. - Career development resources and whole-person well-being support. ### About the practice AdventHealth South Orlando is part of AdventHealth, a faith-based, nonprofit health system with a mission centered on whole-person care.
