About this role

AdventHealth is hiring a full-time Pharmacy Technician II at its Central Rx facility in Orlando, Florida. ### What you'll do - Accurately prepare and dispense patient-specific medication doses, verifying drug, dose, dosage form, expiration, and barcode scanning - Compound sterile IV solutions and piggyback containers under aseptic conditions following USP <795> and <797> guidelines - Manage automated dispensing cabinets (ADCs), pharmacy software, and medication automation systems across central, decentralized, and cleanroom practice areas - Maintain inventory accuracy by receiving and rotating stock, removing expired medications, and managing controlled substances per regulatory standards - Identify and report potential medication errors, including look-alike/sound-alike risks, supporting a culture of safety - Handle and dispose of hazardous waste materials in compliance with environmental protocols, including proper use of PPE and spill kits ### What we're looking for - Active Florida Registered or Licensed Pharmacy Technician (RPhT) credential required - Minimum 1 year of hospital, retail, or ambulatory pharmacy experience - High school diploma or equivalent - Proficiency in sterile compounding, controlled substance handling, and regulatory compliance - Ability to work four 10-hour shifts (5:00 AM–3:30 PM or 7:00 AM–5:30 PM), including every other weekend ### What's included - Pay range: $18.14–$29.02/hour (~$37,731–$60,362 annually) - Sign-on bonus: up to $2,500 - Relocation bonus: up to $2,500 - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance from day one - Paid time off from day one; 4 weeks 100% paid parental leave - 403(b) retirement plan ### About the practice AdventHealth is a faith-based, not-for-profit health system operating more than 50 hospital campuses across the United States.
