About this role
AdventHealth Centra Care is hiring a Basic X-Ray Machine Operator (BMO) for its urgent care clinic in Winter Garden, Florida.
### What you'll do
- Prepare patients for radiologic procedures while implementing radiation safety protocols for patients, self, and staff.
- Set up and operate radiographic equipment used in medical diagnosis and treatment.
- Select proper ionizing factors for radiological diagnosis and adjust radiographic controls accordingly.
- Position patients and perform x-rays of specific body parts as ordered by the treating physician.
- Implement infection control procedures for the radiology work area.
- Float to other AdventHealth Centra Care practice locations as patient volume and staffing needs require.
### What we're looking for
- Basic X-Ray Machine Operator (BMO) certification — required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification — required.
- High school diploma or equivalent — required.
- Associate's degree in radiological technology from an accredited x-ray technician program — preferred.
- 1+ year of basic x-ray operator experience — preferred.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills to support patient care documentation.
