About this role
AdventHealth Zephyrhills is hiring a full-time night-shift Operating Room Registered Nurse at its hospital in Zephyrhills, Florida.
### What you'll do
- Assess patient conditions and develop individualized perioperative care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
- Administer medications and treatments accurately per prescribed protocols within the OR setting.
- Maintain a sterile field and enforce infection-prevention and safety protocols throughout surgical procedures.
- Perform therapeutic and diagnostic interventions including IV placement, wound care, catheterization, and specimen collection.
- Document all patient care activities in the EMR (Cerner) to maintain accurate, real-time medical records.
- Educate patients and families on procedures, recovery expectations, and post-discharge care.
### What we're looking for
- Active Florida RN license (required).
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (required); Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (preferred).
- Minimum 1 year of medical-surgical experience (required); 1 year of surgery experience (preferred).
- Current BLS/CPR certification (required); CNOR, PALS, NRP, or ABLS certifications (preferred).
- Proficiency with EMR charting; Cerner experience preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills with ability to work independently under physician and management direction.
