About this role
AdventHealth Zephyrhills is hiring a full-time Charge Nurse RN for the Med/Surg Observation unit on nights in Zephyrhills, Florida.
### What you'll do
- Lead and coordinate daily unit operations during the night shift, ensuring patient care and staff needs are met.
- Direct, organize, and prioritize shift activities across the Med/Surg Observation unit.
- Verify appropriate admissions to the unit and confirm that staff skill mix supports safe patient care.
- Participate in interviewing and selecting new nursing staff.
- Provide performance feedback and recommendations on current staff.
- Round on patients as part of Nurse Leader Rounding requirements and uphold Patient Experience standards.
### What we're looking for
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Florida.
- Minimum 1 year of clinical RN experience.
- Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Current BLS/CPR certification.
- Strong organizational, critical thinking, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Records preferred; commitment to learning new technology required.
