About this role
A full-time day-shift Med-Surg/Surgical RN role at AdventHealth Daytona Beach, a faith-based acute care hospital located in Daytona Beach, Florida.
### What you'll do
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments covering physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, and spiritual factors.
- Develop, implement, and continuously revise individualized care plans aligned with standards of care and patient response.
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders, monitoring for adverse reactions and ensuring protocol compliance.
- Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, medications, and self-care to support understanding and adherence.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care.
- Respond to code situations promptly, providing stabilizing interventions and maintaining accurate, timely medical record documentation.
### What we're looking for
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Florida.
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (required); Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (preferred).
- Current BLS/CPR certification (required).
- Minimum 1 year of experience in an acute care hospital setting (preferred).
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and critical-thinking skills with the ability to use abstract reasoning in care evaluation.
- Additional specialty certifications (TNCC, CCRN-E, ONS, SCRN, etc.) are a plus depending on unit assignment.
