About this role
AdventHealth Sebring is hiring a full-time Certified Patient Care Technician / Unit Coordinator for the night shift at its hospital in Sebring, Florida.
### What you'll do
- Prepare patient rooms for new admissions, including setting up personal care items and vital sign equipment, and orient incoming patients to their environment.
- Assist with transferring patients between beds, stretchers, and wheelchairs using safe lifting and transport techniques.
- Document personal care, intake and output, vital signs, weights, and patient records accurately within the electronic medical record.
- Collect and label bedside specimens and route them to the laboratory for analysis.
- Respond to patient call lights, assist with activities of daily living, and report changes in patient status to appropriate clinical personnel.
- Serve as a liaison between patients, families, nursing staff, and medical personnel while maintaining an accurate unit census.
### What we're looking for
- High school diploma or equivalent (required).
- Active BLS/CPR certification (required).
- Current CPCT/A, CNA, or EMT certification (one required).
- Basic computer proficiency and working knowledge of medical terminology.
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and critical-thinking skills.
- One or more years of patient care experience preferred; CNA experience a plus.
