About this role

AdventHealth Ocala is hiring a full-time Night Shift Patient Care Technician to support inpatient nursing units at its acute care hospital in Ocala, Florida. ### What you'll do - Perform patient care treatments per policy, adapted to patient age, mobility, acuity, and cultural needs - Assist registered nurses in delivering bedside care and identifying patient needs, documenting all procedures per department policy - Participate in obtaining nursing histories and report abnormalities promptly to the supervising RN - Respond appropriately during clinical emergencies and support performance improvement and quality initiatives - Follow isolation protocols, infection control guidelines, and safety regulations consistently - Maintain a clean, safe environment for patients and staff throughout the night shift ### What we're looking for - High school diploma or equivalent (required) - Active BLS/CPR certification (required) - One of the following active credentials: CNA, CPCT/A, or EMT (required) - Prior PCT experience in an acute care setting (preferred) - Previous experience as a unit secretary, monitor technician, or equivalent bedside role (preferred) - Strong communication skills with patients, families, and multidisciplinary team members ### What's included - Compensation: $15.87–$25.38/hr ($32,610–$52,790 annualized) - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance from day one - Paid time off from day one - 403(b) retirement plan - 4 weeks of 100% paid parental leave - Mental health resources and whole-person well-being support ### About the practice AdventHealth Ocala is a full-service acute care hospital located in Ocala, Florida, operating as part of the AdventHealth system — one of the largest faith-based nonprofit health systems in the country.
