About this role
An RN Navigator supporting the Regional Orthopedic Institute at AdventHealth Ocala in Ocala, Florida, coordinating clinical operations, patient education, and quality outcomes across inpatient and community settings.
### What you'll do
- Conduct daily inpatient rounds with orthopedic surgeons to ensure desired patient outcomes and coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team.
- Develop and implement patient education programs including one-on-one teaching, preoperative classes, and family coach programs.
- Collaborate with case management on post-operative discharge planning and strategies to reduce length of stay.
- Monitor and manage quality metrics required by national organizations to maintain practice-specific certifications and optimize clinical outcomes.
- Facilitate orthopedic governance committee meetings with surgeons and multidisciplinary team members.
- Create community outreach programs—health fairs, physician lunch-ins, and local events—in collaboration with marketing.
### What we're looking for
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in Florida (required).
- Associate's degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of orthopedic nursing experience.
- Minimum 1 year of project management or process improvement experience in an orthopedic-related setting.
- BLS/CPR certification (required); Certified Orthopaedic Nurse (ONC) preferred.
- Strong data analysis skills and demonstrated ability to implement evidence-based practice improvements.
