About this role
A part-time, night-shift Nursing Assistant (CNA Float Pool) role supporting inpatient units at AdventHealth Shawnee Mission in Shawnee Mission, Kansas.
### What you'll do
- Perform and accurately document vital signs in the electronic medical record under the direction of a licensed nurse
- Carry out patient care tasks and procedures in accordance with department policy and scope of practice
- Function appropriately within scope during clinical emergencies
- Follow CDC isolation guidelines, apply PPE correctly, and enforce hand hygiene and safety protocols
- Maintain a clean, safe environment for patients and staff across float pool assignments
- Conduct point-of-care testing based on verified competency and hospital policy
### What we're looking for
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- BLS/CPR certification (required)
- CNA certification (preferred)
- Certified Patient Care Technician/Assistant (CPCT/A) or EMT certification (preferred)
- 1+ year of applicable PCT experience (preferred)
- Strong communication skills with patients, families, and multidisciplinary team members
