AdventHealth Orlando is hiring a Director of Music Therapy Services to lead its creative arts therapy program at its flagship hospital campus in Orlando, Florida.
### What you'll do
- Administer music therapy and conduct clinical research studies and assessments across pediatric and adult populations
- Develop and oversee music therapy programs, operational workflows, and administrative functions
- Lead recruitment and hiring of credentialed arts therapists and set team and intern competency standards
- Create team schedules and unit/patient census assignments; provide formal supervision and mentorship to interns and staff
- Deliver in-service training and presentations to interdisciplinary team members
- Evaluate opportunities to expand creative arts therapies across the organization
### What we're looking for
- Board Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC / CBMT) — required; Neurologic Music Therapist (NMT) — preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Music Therapy required; Master's degree preferred
- 1,200 clinical hours of music therapy fieldwork including an internship in a medical setting
- 2+ years of post-internship music therapy clinical experience in a medical setting
- Proficiency in voice, guitar, piano, and percussion
- Strong leadership, organizational, and clinical supervision skills
