About this role

A PRN Respiratory Equipment Student Technician role at AdventHealth Connerton in Land O Lakes, Florida, supporting the respiratory therapy department with equipment management, medical gas distribution, and ventilator setup. ### What you'll do - Manage and distribute medical gas cylinders, including inventory tracking and transport to all patient care areas - Set up ventilators and critical care Bi-level breathing machines and perform routine operational system checks - Make daily rounds to deliver, check, change, and set up respiratory equipment throughout the facility - Troubleshoot broken or damaged respiratory equipment and coordinate with vendors and outside partners on new equipment - Stock respiratory and medical gas supplies in all patient areas and direct supply-chain management for the department - Document and charge for procedures accurately while communicating promptly with multiple departments on respiratory supply and medical gas issues ### What we're looking for - Current enrollment in a two-year accredited Respiratory Care Program - High school diploma or equivalent - Ability to disassemble, clean, reassemble, and test respiratory equipment - Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification required - Working knowledge of computers and data entry - Previous hospital materials management experience preferred ### What's included - Pay range: $15.00–$22.50/hour ($31,200–$46,800 annualized equivalent) - PRN day-shift scheduling flexibility - Opportunity to apply classroom learning in a live clinical environment ### About the practice AdventHealth Connerton is a long-term acute care hospital located in Land O Lakes, Florida, operated by AdventHealth, a faith-based, not-for-profit health system with facilities across multiple states.
