Certified Medical Assistant Urology Port Charlotte

AdventHealth is hiring a Certified Medical Assistant for its Urology clinic in Port Charlotte, Florida. ### What you'll do - Perform clinical intake including vital signs, history taking, screenings, and medication reconciliation for urology patients - Assist with minor urology procedures and ensure accurate, timely documentation in the EHR - Administer medications, initiate testing, and document results per clinic protocols - Educate patients on tests, medications, and dietary instructions with clear, accurate guidance - Monitor inventory and maintain medical equipment to support uninterrupted clinic operations - Travel to satellite locations within the area as needed to support staffing and clinic flow ### What we're looking for - Active certification as a CMA, CMAC, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, or NRCMA (one required) - Current BLS/CPR certification - High school diploma or equivalent - 1+ year of related clinical work experience (preferred) - Proficiency with medical terminology, chronic disease management concepts, and EHR systems - Ability to work independently within certification scope in a fast-paced outpatient environment ### What's included - Pay range: $17.11–$27.38/hr ($35,589–$56,950 annualized) - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance from day one - Paid time off from day one - 403(b) retirement plan - 4 weeks of 100% paid parental leave - Career development and continuing education support - Mental health and whole-person well-being resources ### About the practice AdventHealth is a faith-based, nonprofit health system operating across multiple states, with a mission centered on whole-person care.
