AdventHealth is hiring a Certified Medical Assistant for its Urology clinic in Port Charlotte, Florida.
### What you'll do
- Perform clinical intake including vital signs, history taking, screenings, and medication reconciliation for urology patients
- Assist with minor urology procedures and ensure accurate, timely documentation in the EHR
- Administer medications, initiate testing, and document results per clinic protocols
- Educate patients on tests, medications, and dietary instructions with clear, accurate guidance
- Monitor inventory and maintain medical equipment to support uninterrupted clinic operations
- Travel to satellite locations within the area as needed to support staffing and clinic flow
### What we're looking for
- Active certification as a CMA, CMAC, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, or NRCMA (one required)
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ year of related clinical work experience (preferred)
- Proficiency with medical terminology, chronic disease management concepts, and EHR systems
- Ability to work independently within certification scope in a fast-paced outpatient environment
