About this role
A full-time night-shift Registered Nurse is needed for the Cardiovascular Progressive Care Unit (PCU) at AdventHealth Daytona Beach in Daytona Beach, Florida.
### What you'll do
- Conduct comprehensive physiological, psychological, and sociocultural assessments and develop individualized care plans for cardiovascular PCU patients.
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and hospital protocols, monitoring patients for adverse reactions.
- Collaborate with physicians, medical staff, and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care across the unit.
- Educate patients and families on cardiac conditions, medications, treatments, and self-care strategies.
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation of assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic medical record.
- Respond promptly to code situations, providing stabilizing interventions and supervising delegated care within the team.
### What we're looking for
- Current Florida RN license (required).
- Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification required.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in an acute care hospital setting preferred.
- EKG interpretation skills per unit requirements.
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and critical-thinking abilities for a high-acuity cardiovascular environment.

AdventHealth Daytona Beach is a faith-based, not-for-profit health system located at 301 Memorial Medical Parkway, serving the greater Volusia County community with a full spectrum of inpatient and specialty care services. The cardiovascular PCU provides step-down-level monitoring and care for patients requiring close cardiac observation between the ICU and general medical floors.
