About this role

A Monitor Technician role on the night shift at AdventHealth Kissimmee, a faith-based acute-care hospital in Kissimmee, Florida. ### What you'll do - Observe telemetry monitors continuously, identify normal and abnormal EKG/arrhythmia patterns, and notify nursing staff promptly of any changes. - Maintain and document the telemetry logbook in accordance with departmental policy. - Verify that monitor alarms are set and audible each shift; troubleshoot equipment as needed. - Maintain telemetry printouts during cardiac arrests and at other indicated intervals. - Communicate effectively with the healthcare team regarding patient status and observed changes. - Support departmental quality initiatives and participate in ongoing education to stay current with best practices. ### What we're looking for - Prior monitor technician experience or successful completion of AdventHealth's Monitor Technician training program (or equivalent). - Basic EKG/arrhythmia identification course completion, with familiarity in medical terminology. - Active BLS/CPR certification (required at hire). - Basic computer proficiency including Microsoft Office; accurate keyboarding and clerical skills. - Ability to complete a competency skill check-off list within 90 days of employment. - Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and overtime as operationally required. ### What's included - Pay range: $15.87–$25.38/hr ($32,008–$52,790 annualized). - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance effective Day One. - Paid time off beginning Day One; 4 weeks of 100% paid parental leave. - 403(b) retirement plan. - Career development programs and whole-person well-being resources. ### About the practice AdventHealth Kissimmee is a full-service acute-care hospital located at 2450 N Orange Blossom Trail, part of the AdventHealth system — one of the largest faith-based nonprofit health systems in the United States.
