AdventHealth Daytona Beach is hiring a full-time Registered Nurse for its Medical ICU Training Program at the Daytona Beach, Florida campus — an entry-level pathway designed for RNs building critical care expertise.
### What you'll do
- Assess and interpret diagnostic data including lab results, non-invasive monitoring data, and interdisciplinary team notes to guide nursing interventions
- Develop and implement individualized plans of care with measurable short- and long-range goals, revising as the patient's condition evolves
- Complete comprehensive patient assessments covering physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors
- Communicate effectively during hand-off and conduct hourly rounding to promote patient safety and a positive care experience
- Apply EKG competency and unit-specific clinical knowledge across all diagnoses, medications, and equipment relevant to the Medical ICU population
- Participate in quality initiatives, process improvement projects, and required continuing education in alignment with ANA Scope and Standards
### What we're looking for
- Active Florida Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (required); Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (preferred)
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- EKG competency or willingness to complete competency testing
- Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and team collaboration skills
- Effective verbal and written communication with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team
