About this role
A Certified Medical Assistant is needed at AdventHealth's Gastroenterology clinic in Zephyrhills, Florida, supporting day-to-day clinical operations on a full-time, Monday–Friday schedule.
### What you'll do
- Prepare patients and equipment for treatment, initiate testing, and document results in the practice's designated system
- Maintain OSHA regulatory compliance and follow all safety processes and policies
- Travel as needed to support staffing needs and clinic operations
- Stay current on organizational policies, procedures, and annual clinical competency requirements
- Advocate for patients and assist in navigating complex care systems
- Support efficient office flow in a fast-paced gastroenterology environment
### What we're looking for
- Active certification as CMA, CMAC, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, or NRCMA (required)
- Current BLS/CPR certification (required)
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- 1+ year of related medical assistant experience (preferred)
- Knowledge of medical terminology and chronic disease management
- Proficiency with computers and electronic health record systems
