Patient Care Technician Part Time

A Patient Care Technician (part-time, day shift) supports inpatient nursing teams at AdventHealth Tampa in Tampa, Florida. ### What you'll do - Perform treatments per policy, delivering patient care appropriate to age, mobility, acuity, and cultural background - Assist in the delivery of direct patient care under the direction of a registered nurse - Document and report all procedures in accordance with department policy - Participate in obtaining nursing histories and report abnormalities to the RN - Follow isolation guidelines, use protective equipment correctly, and enforce safety regulations - Function appropriately during clinical emergencies and support quality improvement initiatives ### What we're looking for - High school diploma or equivalent (required) - Active BLS/CPR certification (required) - One of the following credentials (required): CNA, CPCT/A, or EMT certification - 1+ year of PCT experience (preferred) - Previous bedside patient care in an acute care unit, or experience as a unit secretary or monitor technician (preferred) - Effective communication skills with patients, families, and multidisciplinary team members ### What's included - Pay range: $15.87–$25.38/hour ($33,010–$52,790 annualized) - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance from day one - Paid time off from day one - 403(b) retirement plan - 4 weeks of 100% paid parental leave - Mental health resources, well-being support, and pet benefits ### About the practice AdventHealth Tampa is a faith-based acute care hospital located at 3100 E Fletcher Ave, Tampa, FL 33613, part of the AdventHealth system.
