AdventHealth New Smyrna Beach is hiring a full-time night-shift RN for its Float Pool in New Smyrna Beach, Florida.
### What you'll do
- Perform and document initial and ongoing patient assessments to evaluate conditions and care needs.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
- Administer medications accurately, monitor patient responses, and adjust interventions as needed.
- Float to appropriate departments within your scope, skills, and credentials across the hospital.
- Supervise and guide nursing personnel to ensure safe, therapeutic, and quality patient care.
- Respond to emergencies by providing necessary interventions and coordinating with the healthcare team to stabilize patients.
### What we're looking for
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Florida.
- Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- BLS/CPR certification required.
- 1+ year of acute care hospital experience preferred.
- Proficiency with IV insertion, central lines, EKG interpretation, hemodynamic monitoring, and electronic medical records (Epic/Pyxis).
- Strong critical thinking, clinical assessment, and communication skills with the ability to prioritize in high-acuity situations.
