About this role

AdventHealth Redmond is hiring a full-time Registered Nurse for its Cardiopulmonary Progressive Care Unit (PCU) on a weekend day schedule in Rome, Georgia. ### What you'll do - Conduct comprehensive patient assessments including physical examinations, vital signs, and psychosocial and cultural needs identification. - Develop and implement individualized SMART care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team. - Administer medications and treatments (oral, IV, IM) and perform procedures including wound care, catheterization, and IV therapy. - Provide patient and family education on health conditions, treatments, self-care, discharge planning, and follow-up care. - Document assessments, care plans, interventions, and patient responses accurately and in a timely manner in the medical record. - Participate in unit-based quality improvement, evidence-based practice initiatives, and bedside shift reports to ensure care continuity. ### What we're looking for - Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — required. - Associate's Degree in Nursing — required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing — preferred. - Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification — required. - Minimum 1 year of prior hospital or acute care nursing experience — preferred. ### What's included - Pay range: $31.44–$54.92/hour (~$65,395–$114,234 annualized). - Up to 20% differential of base pay tied to education and certification advancement. - $25,000 sign-on bonus. - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance effective Day One. - Paid Time Off from Day One and 4 weeks of 100% paid parental leave. - 403(b) retirement plan. ### About the practice AdventHealth Redmond is a faith-based, community hospital located in Rome, Georgia, part of the AdventHealth system. The Cardiopulmonary PCU provides step-down level care for patients with cardiac and pulmonary conditions, supported by a collaborative interdisciplinary team. This weekend position follows a 3×12 schedule (Friday–Sunday, 7am–7pm), providing schedule consistency and weekday availability.
