About this role

AdventHealth Gordon is hiring a full-time night-shift RN for the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) at its Calhoun, Georgia campus. ### What you'll do - Perform comprehensive patient assessments including observation, interviews, physical exams, vital signs, and identification of physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs - Develop and implement individualized, SMART-goal-based care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team - Administer medications and treatments safely via oral, IV, and IM routes; perform wound care, catheterization, and IV therapy - Provide patient and family education on health conditions, treatments, self-care, discharge instructions, and follow-up care plans - Serve as patient advocate and liaison between patients and the healthcare system, protecting patient rights and securing necessary resources ### What we're looking for - Active RN license (required) - Associate's Degree in Nursing (required); BSN preferred - BLS/CPR certification (required) - 1+ year of hospital or acute care nursing experience (preferred) - Additional specialty certifications welcomed (CMSRN, CEN, NIHSS, PALS, etc.) ### What's included - $20,000 sign-on bonus - Hourly pay range: $31.44–$54.92 (approx. $65,395–$114,233 annualized) - Up to 20% differential tied to education and certification advancement - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance effective Day 1 - Paid time off from Day 1; 4 weeks 100% paid parental leave - 403(b) retirement plan - Mental health resources and whole-person well-being support ### About the practice AdventHealth Gordon is a faith-based community hospital located in Calhoun, Georgia, operated by AdventHealth — one of the largest not-for-profit Protestant health systems in the country. The PCU unit runs 12-hour night shifts (7p–7a, three days per week with rotating weekends), providing step-down level care for patients requiring close monitoring between ICU and general medical-surgical floors.
